I produce cardboard cuts and lino cuts at the moment. My prints are completely hand burnished using a wooden spoon and Japanese baren and anything else I think will work. I am not really interested in making editions, preferring to make each print unique by slightly changing the colour and making different marks. Some of my prints are made by painting directly onto the screen or plate. I am never sure how they are going to look until I ‘pull’ the print. If I am happy with the result I will leave it as it is, if not, I work further into the print, either by printing more layers on top or drawing directly onto the print.
